Current musical obsession.  I’ve always had a soft spot for The Boss and the E Street Band.
Make sure to download “We Take Care of Our Own,” “Death to My Hometown,” and “Wrecking Ball.”
Got my Astros!  Everything through my PS3 sounds GODLIKE.  Too bad I won’t get to play a whole lot this weekend; dealing with the in-laws and everything.
What’s everyone else playing this weekend?

You know, I bet there’s a lesson to be learned from all this, but I…

Archer = WINNING.

On another front, I’m probably going to put in my two weeks notice to the Blue Box in the next few days.  Their gaming experiment was good in theory, but on paper and in practice FAILED.

Failed MISERABLY.

I want to work for someone who actually cares about gamers.  Not somewhere where they throw a part time employee into doing full time duties, and then make it beyond difficult to do your job.  And, hell, beyond difficult to get gamers the games they want to play!  That’s happening more and more lately, and I’m just DONE.  Staying there long enough to find another job, and that’s it.

An example of it being beyond difficult to get gamers the games they want to play?  We FINALLY got the Mortal Kombat Komplete Edition in yesterday.  It came out the same day as SSX.

But, happier news.  All the stress of what’s happening at work has led to lots of hours, which means an amazing paycheck.  Come Friday, this will be mine:

Now, if you’ll excuse me, Mass Effect beckons.  For more nerdy exploits 140 characters and under, remember to follow me @fringe_gamer!

Dear Naughty Dog, just take all my money now and be done with it.  Seriously.

The Project.

This blog spawned from a day of boredom and disappointment at my day job.  And a love of music, video games, gadgets, and Abed from Community.

What’s to come from this?  Hopefully 365 days of geekery, game reviews, and awesome music.  An open forum for all things techie, and in general, all things awesome.

Stay tuned.  Have an idea for something awesome?  Let me know.
